Is a physician referral required before starting physical therapy?
No. Fortunately, most insurance no longer require a referral prior to starting PT, which is great for patients because research shows that direct access results in reduced overall medical costs, quicker results, and has no adverse risks. Some insurances still require a physician referral and/or authorization. Call us at (405) 735-8777 and let us help you determine if a referral is required.
Will my insurance cover my treatment costs?
Every insurance is difference and all costs are determined solely by the insurer and the specific plan; however, almost all insurances cover at least a portion of your physical therapy costs. Prior to your first visit, our front office staff will verify and your insurance benefits and provide you with a financial policy form that explains your benefits. No hidden costs, no surprises!
What if I can’t afford to pay for my PT visits up front?
We understand that everyone’s financial situation is different and we offer payment plan options to ease your burden. Physical therapy should be available to everyone and our goal is to remove any obstacle that prevents you from getting better.
How long will my physical therapy appointment last?
Typically, an initial evaluation will last 1.5-2 hours total. Follow up appointments last anywhere from 1-1.5 hours, depending on the patients individual needs.
What should I wear to my appointments?
We recommend wearing comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely during treatment. We have private bathrooms allowing you to change clothes as needed. Our PT’s utilize a variety of hands on treatments which may require patient to expose the treated area. We will always maintain discretion and place the patients comfort level as the highest priority. We also have private treatment rooms (as needed).
